Who we are
The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) is a Type B economic development corporation created under the Texas Development Corporation Act. This policy describes what information we collect through our websites, including the eBridge Fund loan calculator and related forms, and how we use it.
What we collect
When you use our loan calculator and ask us to email you an estimate, we collect the information you enter: your name, your business name, your email address, and the estimate details you generated (loan amount, term, and calculated figures). If you contact us or apply to a program, we collect the information you provide in those forms and applications.
Our websites may also collect standard technical information, such as pages visited and browser type, through cookies and analytics tools. Squarespace Analytics, Google Analytics, Meta Business, and HubSpot tracking.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to send you the estimate you requested, respond to your inquiries, follow up on the eBridge Fund and other BCIC programs, and administer our programs. We send marketing and program updates by email only; every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to operate our websites and communications, including Squarespace (website hosting) and HubSpot (contact management and email). These providers process your information on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.
A note about public records
BCIC is a public body subject to the Texas Public Information Act (Texas Government Code, Chapter 552). Information submitted to BCIC may be subject to disclosure under that Act, subject to the exceptions provided by law, including exceptions that may protect certain financial and proprietary information. If you have questions about how the Act applies to information you plan to submit, contact us before submitting it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. You can ask us what contact information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to our records-retention obligations as a public body) by emailing info@brownsvillecic.com or writing to the address above. Children
Our websites and programs are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
